Braided polyethylene sleeving is popular because it is durable and lightweight and remains completely flexible in any direction, even at low temperatures, allowing cable assemblies and wire harnesses to be bent repeatedly without damage.
Spiral-wound tubing: Spiral-wound tubing allows cables and electrical harnesses to enter and leave the outer packaging material at multiple points, and also offers a variety of color options for easy identification; for example, orange is typically used for high-voltage applications.
Split loom tubing: Split loom tubing is typically cut down the side for easy insertion of cables with electronic harnesses, and the cutout closes after installation, eliminating the need to heat shrink or spot glue ends, thus reducing production time. plastic tubing is typically made of polyamide, polyethylene or polypropylene, however, handling and not compressing the wiring can be cumbersome.
Tapes: Tapes are available in single-sided coated pressure sensitive tapes with a variety of backing materials and pressure sensitive adhesives, while PVC is the most common tape material, but other materials can be used including fabric, felt, foam and aluminum foil, in addition the tape minimizes the flexibility of the harness.
