Introduction to Electronic Wire Harnesses

Author:

Definition and composition of a wire harness The components of a common wire harness are: wires, terminals, and plastic parts. In our electronics industry, it means 'electronic harness'. It generally refers to a low-voltage electronic wiring harness. It bridges the gap between two or more isolated electronic circuits, thus enabling the flow of current to achieve the functions of various electronic components, which is an indispensable component of various electrical and electronic equipment.

It is an indispensable component of various electrical and electronic devices. The composition of complex wiring harnesses is supplemented by: tapes, ties, sleeves, sheaths, labels, etc.

Appliance wiring harness is the network body of the circuit, without the appliance wiring harness there is no appliance circuit. At present, whether it is a senior luxury home appliances or economical ordinary home appliances, the form of wiring harness is basically the same, are composed of wires, joint plug-ins and wrapping tape. Appliance wire, also known as low-voltage wire, is not the same as ordinary household wire. Ordinary household wire is a copper single-piston wire, a certain degree of hardness. And home appliance wires are copper multi-stamen soft wire, some soft wire as thin as hair, several or even dozens of soft copper wire wrapped in plastic insulation tube (PVC), soft and not easy to break. The common specifications of the wires within the home appliance harness have a nominal cross-sectional area of 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 4.0, 6.0 square millimeters of wire, they each have allowable load current values, with different power equipment with different specifications of the wire.

Simply put, single-core and multi-core is actually the difference between single-strand and multi-strand. Multi-core soft wire core wire than single-core hard wire wire diameter fine. The current has a skin effect, and single-stranded wire cross-sectional area equal to the ability to transmit the current point is relatively large, heat must be greater than the single-stranded wire. Multi-stranded wire is soft and easy to operate, single-core hardness is not good operation. Single-core hard wire, peel off the insulation is a solid copper wire, cross-sectional area is generally more than 1.5mm2, 2.5mm2, 4mm2. on the material why use copper, not aluminum, the reason: large internal resistance, power consumption, low current carrying capacity, poor tensile strength, easy to start the oxide layer, short life cycle.

So the electrical components are multi-core wire like our cooling fan with the harness is multi-core wire, like the home TV its power cord is also multi-core wire.
